We are currently considering a Nissan Qashqai and have looked at quotes through a couple of online brokers. Any recommendations?

I bought one from Westway, who are the retail outlet for Nissan I believe. I got an ex-Nissan manager's car, 6 months old, 4500 miles and immaculate. Saved around £5K.

I agree with you Yvette394. I would rather pay a little bit more for a car that is 6 months younger, hasn't had people test driving it or some manager driving with his foot to the floor knowing he'll only have the car for a few months. Less chance a brand new car has been pranged and gone to bodyshop.
  • We have just bought a new Nissan Qashqai directly from Nissan. We have the top spec called Tekna and paid £20,000 for it. My husband didn't mind getting new or getting used (12/6 months old) and told the dealer that. We had a set budget and were prepared to walk away if they couldn't meet it.

The used Qashais are going between £20/22k so we managed to get a new one for what the used ones are going for. We did drive a hard bargain though and they knew we would go elsewhere had they not matched our budget.

That's what we did anyway. I think a lot of it depends on how desperate they are to sell.

Im currently speaking to a company called Broadspeed.
Loking at a high spec BMW 3 series touring.
    BMW quote £51000.
Broadspeed qoute £43000 even before they have tried to get a discount on the extras that Ive specified.
Not asked me for a penny yet. If you buy from their dealer cost is £199.00 but is built into their quote already.
Ringing me tomorrow with the best price they can get. Will let you know.
They can also source nearly new and ex demos.

    Try drivethedeal aswell.

Even if you don't buy from them use their price, and indeed a price from Broadspeed, as a negotiating tool.

Just don't get a automatic Qashais unless you are feeling lucky.

Why??, we nearly bought one a few years ago, did we dodge a bullet?

Carwow is another website to give you decent offers, although once you have these prices it may be worth going to your dealer with printouts if necessary showing what price you can get the car for and then giving them the chance to match the offer.
