Hi, I was wondering if the Blackwell tunnel is open for normal operation tomorrow (1st aug) if not, will the route to/from Shooters Hill to the Woolwich ferry be available? I'm pretty sure some Olympic works are going on in Greenwich. Thanks!

Woking to Wembley Arena
Any ideas? 5pm session tomorrow in the Olympic Badminton. Either take the train to Waterloo and then Jubilee to Wembley Park, or we could go round the M25 and down the A40, possibly parking at Hillingdon, or maybe closer. Not sure how the PT route is?

Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP)
I am about to buy my wife a car and the salesman told us all about their GAP insurance policy. He was trying to push it so much, he is probably getting a fair bit of commission. I had never heard of this before, but it does seem Ok. Is it worth taking out ? Can it be bought separately online, maybe cheaper ( he quoted £300…

I want a London Taxi
As some of you know I am looking for a new car, and had ideas of veg oil. I have now changed course slightly and decided to fuel my obsession with taxis by buying an LTI Fairway. I know very little about them, as I imagine most do, and wonder if anyone else does?! Seen a couple of dealers down South, who I have emailed.…

Bought car from dealer, V5 not signed
I bought car 3 weeks ago - road tax runs out today. Dealer 'forgot' to send in V5 to DVLA so I picked it up from him today (old version). He took the car in p/x from the registered keeper, whose name is still in Section A, but neither of them has signed the Declaration. My details are in the New Keeper box however. I need…

One Wiper Blade has stopped working! EEK!
Hiya, Another 'how much should this cost' post :( On my drive home tonight, my windscreen wiper (drivers side) on my 2002 Fiat Punto stopped moving. No warning, just bam. Not had the garage look at it yet, but from research and the basic knowledge I have of windscreen wipers, I would say the motor's gone. Any idea on full…

Dvla Hopeless Admin Department
I paid £24.50 for my new photo renewal driving license card. Only the photo needed renewing and Elton putting in the address. So filled out the form with my full correct address and got photo done at post office, sent it off. Came a few days ago with my address totally incorrect on the green form and the card. They had…

Arrogant cyclists
We were stuck behind some what looked like arrogant road race cyclists who remained 3 a breast for miles not letting motorists pass.

I've lost my paper counterpart to my driving license and need it for a job I've applied for so I need to pay to replace it but it's now asking for my address history for the past 3 years - I haven't updated it at all and have moved quite a few times. Best way to sell a bangernomic car!
Hi, I am looking to sell my beloved banger and want to know how I can get the best price for it. In most peoples eyes it's a complete wreck- Peugeot 406 1.8, lots of dents, scratches, and bits of trim missing, 133K miles. But in my eyes it's been maintained impeccably - well the mechanical side has. In the last four years…

What do people think about the Proton Impian?
My car has failed its MOT and it's not worth getting it repaired so I am looking out for a new (used) one. My budget is a maximum of £2000 and I am hoping I can trade mine in for maybe £200. In my local paper I came across this so just wondered what people thought of it.…
