Hiya,
Another 'how much should this cost' post
On my drive home tonight, my windscreen wiper (drivers side) on my 2002 Fiat Punto stopped moving. No warning, just bam.
Not had the garage look at it yet, but from research and the basic knowledge I have of windscreen wipers, I would say the motor's gone.
Any idea on full costs of a new one with labour?
Thanks

I had this issue with a 51plate Punto. I spoke to the garage who ordered the new part, but it took ages for some reasons (2wks) and when it finally arrived I drove to the garage and the other wiper (passenger side) broke too! Eeeek!
Anyway, I think it cost around £120 all in, but this was 2 years ago and I no longer have the car so can't check the recipts.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

look under bonnet you will see the linkage at joint has disconected, the joint wears, it may push back on for now for a few days, you can buy just the linkage, motors never go, warning, be sure ignition is off before looking, ive seen someone stick there hand in when theyve forgot wipers have been on intermitent ! with it being drivers side make sure where linkage has dropped off that its not catching wires etc.0

I found the same with FIAT dealers. Even basic servicing parts needed to be ordered in.
I wouldnt buy a FIAT if they cannot stock service items.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
this is prob the most common failure on the mk2 punto the plastic joints on the linkage brake and the wiper stops on one side you can prob pop it back on for a temp fix. but you will need a new linkage i bought and replaced one myself for about £50 quid. some people have had succes witha biodge repair cant remember how now something to do with a coin i think and superglue stuck on bottom of joint to stop the linkage falling off0

Hiya!
Right I've had a good nosey underneath the bonnet... this is what has happened (sorry for dreadful painting!!)
Where the blue arrow is the bit thats dropped off. Tried to push it back on but it won't just sit back on it. I shall attempt with wires, cable ties etc etc this evening.!0 -
