Basically the story goes my mrs's mum and dad are getting hacked off at the moment by a guy in one of these articulated recovery trucks basically parking right near their driveway. He's had this truck for years and has now decided to not park outside his own house which is no where near my mrs's mum and dads (at least a…

Recall issued on my car, but I've already had half the work done
BMW have recently issued a recall for my car to replace all of the ignition coils, as they're prone to failure. However, I've already 2 of the 4 coils replaced as they did indeed fail (first one was in January, second in March). Does anyone know if it will be possible for me to claim back some money from BMW for having…

Car Insurance Voided - FSA Agree
To cut a long story short my car insurance voided my my claim (my car door spontaneously set on fire) and my whole insurance on the basis that I didn't declare the alloys on the car ( which is fair enough - not being aware isn't an excuse for not declaring I guess). The FSA after months of me waiting with my car growing…

ukautotrader - buying a second handcar from a stranger
I've been looking for a car and come across a Toyota Prius at an almost 'too good a price' to be true on Gumtree. The seller has relocated to Ireland for work purposes and is prepared to take a few days off to drive the car to me near London. I know it all sounds to good to be true but he has said all the right things so…

Small Stone Hit windscreen - 5p sized crack..
...it's fairly small, about 5p sized, certainly less than a £1 coin. Any idea what the cost would be for a repair ?.....but.... it's a heated front screen (2005 Ford Fiesta)....can it be repaired, accepting that the filaments in that area may not work any more? TIA

Fiat Seicento washer pump cost
Hi! Just had my car MOT'd at a friend's garage and he's quoted £70 for a washer pump and £50 labour. I read that Fiat Seicento washer pumps are really hard to get into... Does this sound reasonable to you guys? Cause I can get a generic one from Halfords for £15 and a Fiat one from eBay for £30. Thanks!

Windscreen not covered by insurance
Has anyone else come across this. I have just telephoned my car insurance as my windscreen has cracked (first time in 20 years). Car Insurance
Question(s) for clever people. My car was hit'n'run outside my house 3 weeks ago. My estate is a dead-end so I jumped in my car looking for potential damage on any black car I could see, as a match for the paint scraped on my car. I found a Corsa with a missing wing mirror, same colour as the damage to mine plus my wing…

Breakdown cover
Just discovered that RAC do not refund your payment if you want to cancel during the year. Bought a new car with manufacturer's cover included. Only renewed for the year in Feb 2012 and RAC get to keep the remainder of my payment. Feel a bit shocked at this!!
