Hi!
Just had my car MOT'd at a friend's garage and he's quoted £70 for a washer pump and £50 labour. I read that Fiat Seicento washer pumps are really hard to get into...
Does this sound reasonable to you guys? Cause I can get a generic one from Halfords for £15 and a Fiat one from eBay for £30.
Thanks!

hes pulling your pants down
a garage will have the car up in the air wheel off /liner off in no time
the pump is in front of the drivers wheel i seem to remember
awkward yes so an hours labour is more than adequate0 -
i've looked online and that part really is hard to come by, though i'm not sure if it actually costs that amount... at least it's less than kwikfit who've quoted £130 for the same thing!0

I changed one on my Astra a few years ago but found the Halfords one didn't have the correct connectors - ended up buying one from Vauxhall. It wasn't much more expensive.
Ring a local Fiat dealer and ask for a price and stock.0 -

Always amazes me that people don't do that first to get a baseline figure.
Probably worth asking their service dept how much to replace it as well.0 -
Indeed ... I've always found the parts departments are very helpful. Or a local motor factors.0

I don't know how easy the pump is to get to, last one I had to replace I could get to the connector, pulled it off the existing pump, cut the tube, and put one of these in line with the existing pump. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-12-Volt-Windscreen-Washer-Pump-Water-Bottle-/250982607780?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a6fbaaba40
