Question(s) for clever people.
My car was hit'n'run outside my house 3 weeks ago. My estate is a dead-end so I jumped in my car looking for potential damage on any black car I could see, as a match for the paint scraped on my car.
I found a Corsa with a missing wing mirror, same colour as the damage to mine plus my wing mirror was smashed to bits.
Anyway - told the insurance and the police, albeit I have no proof whatsoever. My car is now fixed but no sign of a return phone call from insurance or police. I'm still down £150 excess but my policy renewal just came in and it's only gone up by £8. I would've expected a bigger hike if the other car was not to blame? Maybe the hike will be next year since renewal was only 3 weeks after the incident?
Thoughts? How does this work? Thx.
Edit: Couldn't knock on a door for the Corsa cos it's in a street with no driveways and random parking.

If it was only 3 weeks before then the renewal quote will almost certainly have been generated before the incident hence you having not seen any real movement in premiums.0

Id say your next premium will be higher either that or they wont allow you to renew.0

Don't worry.
They'll be in touch shortly!!0
