Peugeot 206 noise from under bonnet

Hi,

I have a Peugeot 206 2000 reg that is making a noise from under the bonnet. It only makes this noise when not accelerating or braking but still moving.

Does anyone know what the issue could be and the cost of repair?

Seriously, throw us a frickin bone. What does the noise sound like, rattle, metallic, squealing?

Its like a rattle whirling noise

Rattle whirling noise sounds like the noise a diesel engine makes normally…

Take a video and put it on youtube, it'll be quicker to figure out whats going on

Its a petrol engine, i can't really take a video as it only does it when im moving.

Go to 206info.co.uk and post there with as much info about the noise as you can.

They will give you some ideas for diagnosis at least. For starters some questions to answer.

Does the noise get loader/change with speed? Or when your turning?

I take it its not making the noise when just ticking over? DOes the noise disapper completely when you are accelerating? Does it disapper completely when braking?
