Budget train from Oxford to Exeter
I am thinking of going on a working holiday with a friend to North Devon, and we don't want to take the car for environment reasons. We wondered if it's possible to get a budget train ticket to Exeter from Oxford? They appear to cost around 60 pounds each, which seems excessive. Cheaper to take a car! We will go off-peak…

Appeal of a speeding ticket - is this valid grounds?
I was recently travelling along the A55 in Flintshire and was flashed by a speeding camera. This camera was in a zone that had been restricted to 50 due to roadworks, it was late at night and there obviously was no one around. Prior to entering this 50 zone my dashboard lights had started flickering, sat nav was playing up…

My car was repaired and I had to pay the excess, which I claim back ( accident happened on the 4th june 2010). My car insurance came up for renewal and I…

Windscreen repair before sell car
I would like to hear your opinion on repairing a cracked windscreen before selling the car. I have a 53 Mondeo with 86k miles so worth about £2K. My insurance has a £75 windscreen excess so would I get more than that when selling. Or would it just make the car more saleable? TIA

new cars with insurance included in the package?
Anyone know of any new car offers with insurance (age 19+) included in the package? I am looking to buy a new car, but will need to put my sons on the insurance which is prohibitive, and I thought about deals I had seen a few years ago with insurance inc. Are there any of these still about?

Can I get my deposit back?

I went to look at a used car at a dealer's last Tuesday, really liked it and after a test drive etc, decided I'd buy it so offered to pay a deposit of £100 and then pay the rest in cash on Thursday when I picked the car up. The dealer was going to get the car…

Service cost
For a Ford Focus we've been quoted £229 for a full service at a large car dealer - this is the top level of service they offer, they have 3 levels but would not give me a clear list of what was included at each level. They also quoted £89 for an oil change as the car is 4 yrs old. Sounds a lot to me. Looked at Kwik Fit too…

Citroen 0% APR deal
I am looking at the 0% deal on the Citroen website at the moment and am puzzled by something in the T&C. The way I understand these deals to work is that you pay a monthly payment and then at the end you either pay the balance or hand the car back. It talks about the monthly payment (the 'rental payment') and the final…
