Whiplash question

On Saturday afternoon I was involved in a 4 car pile up at 70 mph on the M11, A car pulled out into the fast lane causing the first car to brake, The car in front of me drove into the back of her without even braking and I couldn't stop in time as the girl in the car in front had stop instantly and hit her and the car behind me ploughed into the back of me.

Luckily no-one was to badly hurt amazingly, After waiting 45 minutes for the emergency services to arrive (That's another story on it own) my wife got rushed to hospital on a back board due to neck pain and fainting and last night i was in A+E having x rays done as i was getting pain in my neck and back and pins and needles in my arms.

Now I'm going to have to claim for whiplash but my worry is that back in 2001 i hit another car when a lady pulled out in front of me doing about 20 mph and i had a claim then which got paid out on.

Can you claim twice for whiplash even if it's 9 years apart, both me and my wife's neck and backs were fine before the crash, Now we are both in pain because of it.

I don't see why not. You haven't cut your brake lights, you aren't trying it on every other week. Claim for what you're entitled an make sure you get as much as possible out of it. It's your right.

I don't see any issue at all.

Just on the subject of multiple prangs like this, years ago the stuation was that the 1st car to be hit claimed from the 1 behind. That 1 claimed from the 1 behind that and so on down the line. To limit a single insurers liability I presume.

Is this still the case today. ;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

When I had my four shunter about 7 years back (I was front car) my insurance bypassed the guy who hit me (as he was stationary) and the guy who hit him and they all went for the the insurance of the bloke at the back.

His insurance company then went after the bloke who dropped the ladders on the motorway causing us all to crash.

Think it depends on circumstances of each crash.

The more paperwork the more money they make.
