Selling vehicle Registrations.
Hi There does anyone know the best place/venue to see registration numbers? Also does anyone know if a motorcycle registration number isn't as desireable as a car registration - are they interchangable? Thanks in advance - don't know if this is the right place to post this.

Council Parking
Hey there, This isn't a question about tickets or parking in general. It's to do with my local council and it's parking restrictions on my road. I live down a very short road - about 15-20 metres in length and just about big enough for one car to drive down the entire length of road though for about 6 metres at the mough…

Glass on Windscreen
Hi, I woke this morning to find that the local thugs got bored last night and smashed a glass bottle against the windscreen of my car. The windscreen itself seems undamaged except that some glass has transferred from the bottle onto the windscreen. What is the best way of cleaning this off?

Sprucing up the paintwork on the cheap?
I have a ten year old Citroen in "Wicked Red", which is a dark lipstick-like shade. When I bought it not long ago it looked shiny and gorgeous. I've managed to add a few scratches to it though, nothing huge, just tucking into the hedge tight on narrow roads, or the dog scrambling in and out the boot and so on. I've never…

How much cheaper for a new car in august?
Hi I am looking to buy a new Kia Rio this month as i am about to have a baby and need a car, my husband wants to buy a brand new car as we have always had trouble with second hand ones and he thinks having a 7 yr warranty will be the peace of mind we need. I wanted the cheapest bog standard 1.4 petrol but these are in…

LML Star Deluxe. Anyone experience of them?
Somehow I have got the OH and a few of her friends interested in scooters. I started on a vespa search but came across an Indian imitation in the LML Star Deluxe. The wife loves the look of it, but has anyone any experience of them? I've read a review or 2, but would prefer first hand experience.

Can anyone help? Bit long - sorry!
I'm hoping someone out there will know the answer to this. We went to the bank to get a loan to buy a 2nd hand car, discussed it all with the loan adviser, worked out how much we could reasonably afford repayment wise, etc. Then went to look for cars. Found one we liked, thought about it for 24hrs, then put a £500 deposit…

Had a car accident 2 Fridays ago, I reported to my insurance company who have then reported it to hers but after 2 weeks she has still not reported the accident according to my insurance company - she is the one liable as it was her fault but just wondering what happens if both my insurance company and hers can't seem to…

Parts from ebay - a saving or a headache?
Hello moneysavers, my car is due in for a cambelt change. I figured out I can get a decent quality cambelt kit for around £55 including delivery on ebay. A garage can supply one for around £70 + VAT. Is this saving worth the hassle? I guess that in case of any subsequent problems the garage that fitted it would wash their…

Aircon repair £260+VAT
This quote is from a local garage for a small Hyundai Getz. Problem is there is a Condenser leak and nearly all the cost is for the Condenser part which is only available from the main dealer. Garage tells me the 5 yr guarantee won't cover this, since it is probably a stone chip which damaged it (a common problem) which…

Do you stop on a Pelican?
Now I've got your attention...imagine you're in a slow-moving line of traffic. You're coming up to a Pelican crossing with the lights on green when the traffic stops. Do you: (a) stop on the Pelican crossing and put up with being withered by pedestrians' glares when the lights on it change in their favour; or (b) stop…

Deposit on car with no V5
Hi, I put a £200 deposit on a car on the 16/07/2010. The dealer got the car from an auction and it had no V5. Obviously I don't want to buy this without the log book. They told me that they have to register it again and will take a week or so. I have had a quick look into this and they must of had to use the v62 form. My…
