Citroen 0% APR deal
I am looking at the 0% deal on the Citroen website at the moment and am puzzled by something in the T&C. The way I understand these deals to work is that you pay a monthly payment and then at the end you either pay the balance or hand the car back.
It talks about the monthly payment (the 'rental payment') and the final optional payment (the 'optional final rental'). But then it says:
'If you choose to pay off the optional final rental at the end of the contract and keep the vehicle you will pay an annual rental equivalent to one of your monthly rentals but you will not own the car.'
What does this mean?

It's called confusion marketing and a big trap to catch the unwary.
It's a personal finance lease, not traditional HP or PCP agreement as it does say final rental, not final payment At least you read the smallprint before jumping in - thousands won't.
I'd either have fun in the dealership questioning about this, or run a mile!0 -
Thanks. Having looked again it might be more confusing than that! It seems that the rental deal is separate from their 0% APR deal, but the only place it mentions the actual amounts of the monthly payments is for the rental one not the purchase one.0
