Sheila's Wheels Home insurance are offering free legal and home emergency cover when taking out a building/contents policy online, but say this is only for the first year of cover. Home insurance cancellation charges
Can a company (RBS) charge me £27 admin fee for cancelling a policy that is due to run out? They're saying it will renew automatically (after doubling the price from last year!) but if I don't want to renew they're placing this admin charge on me. Surely they can't do that?

Car insurance for returning resident
One of my expat friends is talking about returning to the UK and has been away for 6 years, living around Asia. He is 63 years old and did have NCB before leaving but this will now have expired.
