I think that it just means that there have not been any new posts to your original thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3964693 since you last viewed it and not that people can't add further posts to it.

Just be patient and wait 24 hours, Someone will pick it up. usually sooner but not always.

Making an original post then another 7 minutes later makes you look impatient and may put people off.

It does me on another technical forum. If you expect an answer in 7 minutes of your original post i see them as a nightmare user.

This may or may not apply to you just commenting on a post i just read on the other forum

You waited less than an hour for a reply.. In the middle of the afternoon?

Notice how posts start to roll in after 5pm usually?

thanks didnt realise what it meant, thought it meant that no one was allowed to reply. Was not being impatient just a bit dim never posted anything before only used to reading other peoples for info, wasnt expecting instant replies x
