Removing soot stains from a Marble Hearth
My mother has a Gas Fire with a marble hearth and occationally soot comes down the chimney and stains the marble, mainly where the cracks are in it. Any ideas how to get the stains out without spoiling the marble. Thanks

Electricians - cost of installing 3 light fittings?
hi, i have 3 existing light fittings that I would like to have taken out and replaced; can anyone tell me (just roughly) how much I'd be looking at in the north east for an electrician to do that? Just so that when i ring round for quotes i have a ballpark figure.

Paining - on wallpaper or not??
I am about to do some paining. Currently we have a smooth wallpaper, which is still in gd condition (no rips etc) so wondering whether to take it off and waste 2 days doing it or just put 2 coats of paint on it? Any suggestions? many thanks

toilet flushes and go's on and on....
Hope someone can help, basically when i flush the toilet it used to just be the standard minute or so beofe it cut out, well now it go's on for ages and ages - at least 3 minutes in time before it cuts out. Any idea's what the cause of this might be? Many thanks.
