obviously want to save as much money as possible when decorating the house with items such as paint etc. Are there any websites where you can buy paint cheaper than the main DIY stores etc, any 2for 1 deals. anything useful for the house

can you get free help clearing the garden as well, sometimes you have community teams that can help, such as people who have been involved with crime doing community help etc.0

I live near Swindon and we have a company here (non profit I think) called Scrapstore - they have half used pots of paint and some brand new ones that have been donated to them from shops and companies I guess when they are going to be discontinued. It may be worth looking up your nearest scrapstore and asking them if they carry paint. Not all of them do.
Check out your local freecycle too. Quite often people give away paint they no longe use as well as plenty of other things such as bedding, wood, kitchen equpiment, toys, clothes, etc... We gave away our old bathroom set and the people who collected it were really pleased. Some times you do get real gems being advertised on it.
On the grabbit board recently someone posted that Wilkinsons were selling very very cheap paint. Not sure if there are any left but it may be worth a go.
Good luck with the house0 -
First thing is avoid Homebase at all costs.
You will get cheaper paint from trade merchants, and buy a 15 or 20 litre tub not small tubs, and demand your discount - normally 10% just for asking
Don't buy big tubs of "bargain" paint as it does not cover well and costs you more. Buy branded paint
And if you want cheap, looks like it will be magnolia all over the house! lol0
