PVC fascia in Northern Ireland...
Where should I go for a quote? What are your experiences with the various people out there... PVC is one of the things we're forever receiving junk mail about but when it comes to finding a reputable company at a decent price we are somewhat afloat. We live in the Newtownabbey area. Your advice is really appreciated..

My hubbie has stuck them back on with an adhesive, they lasted a week and have come off again. The machine is well out of warranty. Has anyone had this…

Plumbing gone wrong fixed. PLUS a problem with stains from acid.
Hi all, This is my first post, me and my girlfriend tiled our kitchen floor which looks great might i add. Reputable tradesmen - do they exist??
I have just moved to a new area. This means I dont have the personal recommendations I would normally seek. However, how do you actually go about seeking these rare creatures? You know, the ones that turn up when they say they will, do the job they quoted for (and do it well!), go the extra mile for customer satisfaction,…

I have been given some spot lights, brand new in packet unopened from a family member who was going to fit them but now cannot be bothered. I was going to fit them on the stairs. Read…

Taking down scaffolding....grrrrrr
How can I insist a scaffolder removes his wares from my property? I now gather this is a regular thing, but a job ended 2 weeks ago, and I cannot get the scaffolding removed. Am I in my rights to get someone else round to take it down, and take it away? They can have it so far as I am concerned!

Ceiling Cracks
I have ceiling cracks in both bedrooms. They go the width of the ceiling, through the ceiling light and it looks as though it's a problem with the plasterboard not being taped. Would this be something I could tackle myself with scrim or caulk, or should I get an expert in? I'd rather not go to the expense of having both…

Pine furniture - how to rescue it please?
Hello! We're just moving into our new house and all our pine furniture is looking a little tired. It's not that old, but due to a number of house moves (this is our very first "own home") it looks a little sad. Can anyone suggest what we can do with it? What treatment to put on? When to apply it? Thank you very much.

What to prepare render wall with??
I have a 260mtr outside wall with tyrolean finish (probably), its not flamable, and repells water. I want to render over it but need a clue of what to prep with to ensure a good long term fix.
