Washing Machine Agitators fell off

Hi, I am wondering if any of you can point me in the right direction. I have a Hotpoint Aquarius WT540 and two of the agitators have fallen off the inside of the drum. My hubbie has stuck them back on with an adhesive, they lasted a week and have come off again. The machine is well out of warranty. Has anyone had this problem? Can these agitators be replaced? Is there a specific adhesive that we can use to stick them back on? BTW, nothing seems to have 'snapped off'. In all other respects the machine is working perfectly. I did try using the machine without the two agitators but it shredded a t-shirt.

i dont know about your machine, as they all use a different method of fixing.
i would take the drum out and re fix them from behind the outer drum with bolts or screws.
its probably not worth buying a new drum as they are so expensive compared to a new machine.Get some gorm.0 -
Thanks ormus, I have worked out that they are not called agitators but 'paddles'. I have looked on google etc and there are three variations for this model so I will bring one into work tomorrow and order some replacements. Cheers for your prompt response:beer:0

Absoulutely rubbish design. Bought 3 new ones for mine and they are coming loose again.
You need to bend the lugs on the drum carefully so the new paddle makes a tight fit. And to remove any you put a screwdriver down one of the slots and push the paddle.
I did find a site that explains it a bit better. If some have come off you will see it breaks off the plastic on the paddles.
I got mine from ebay, they were the cheapest.0
