Hiding TV Aerial Lead

At the moment my tv aerial lead comes through a hole beneath my window.
Now thinking about placing my tv at other side of the room.

Is there any way I can avoid a long trailing lead over my living room?
(got rug/floorboards)
Thanks in advance !

depends on how much work you are willing to do?
route it under the floor upstairs or route it behind the skirting boards.
cheap and cheerful option is to route it across the top of the skirting boards pinned into place with cable clips.
paint it white (or the wall color) and it wont be too obvious.
    Get some gorm.

    Hi ormus,
Thanks for that .The problem is there is a fireplace to go around too.
Getting room decorated soon so perhaps decorators could remove skirting?
Also getting floorboards resanded, wonder if the floor man could them under though i guess they'd be a !!!!!! if they needed changed?

Why can't they have wireless for tv aerials/sky ? ! lol

Run the cable inside mini trunking, it can be neatly attached to the skirting board.

    Like this;

You can get decorative trucking - blends in better than the standard stuff:

If there are floorboards then i'd lift them and go under the floor...but if there's the likelihood of needing to run more cables or replace them then i'd fit a conduit and leave a drawstring in place that you can pull new cables through without needing to pull the floor up or at least only a small piece of floor either end.

Are there any alternative more direct routes coming direct from the aerial though - perhaps by adjacent rooms?

I'd only resort to mini-trunking if there is really no other option. A cable tacked to the top of the skirting is less obtrusive IMHO (i'd use white cable rather than paint it - assuming white skirtings)

Don't think it's quite that expensive - Screwfix charge around £2-£3 per metre depending on size, pack quantity etc.

    re screwfix.
depends where you live. they have branches now. i live fairly close the the trafford park branch.
also have a toolstation branch near by. sometimes cheaper than even screwfix.
    Get some gorm.
