Painting a re-skimmed ceiling
Hi all, I've just had my kitchen ceiling re-skimmed. I know new plaster needs special treatment before painting etc, but does same apply to walls/ceilings that have just been skimmed rather than fully-replastered? Any advice would be great, Thanks in advance, CW

Recommendations for double glazing companies in Somerset
Can anyone recommend a reliable double glazing company in Somerset? We've got a 3 bedroomed terraced house and the windows need replacing this year. I've heard lots of bad stuff about not being able to get rid of salesmen until you sign on the dotted line and don't want to go there! Has anyone used a decent company in the…

Dish washers packed up
Went in to the kitchen last night and the dishwasher had stopped working with various lights flashing on the display. I had a look in the manual and it didn't have my combination of lights in the self fix section and the only advise it gave was call for repair. I've taken the bottom off and nothing seems to be working so…

Self Adhesive Vinyl Floor Tiles
Has anyone used them before? I would like to fit a vinyl flooring to my bathroom but I am not allowed to have anything but ceramic tiles (it's in my lease). I am thinking of fitting them on top of the ceramic tiles although the current floor is not smooth. Would that be possible? Any recommendations?

Vaillant ecotec pro 28
Hi My Mum is looking to get a new boiler. She's had a quote for the above. However, when dry the edge of the sink next to the actual bowl looks more grey than black and there also appear to be faint water type stains on it. I've given Bar Keeper's Friend a try ( as suggested on the Astracast…
