Removal of coal fired back boiler
Is it easy to remove a coal fired back boiler? I am having a new gas fired CH system put in and we need to get the old back boiler out as we are reusing some of the pipework. The pump has been disconnnected already but if anyone could advise on how you'd go about removing the actual back boiler bit I'd appreciate it. Kate

Cast iron fireplace - stain on top - don't think it's painted so what is it?
I'm a bit waffley about this. We've a Victorian cast iron fireplace which has got a round stain on the mantel where a heavy ornament was sat. It's not really a stain as in colour or paint, more an indentation ( but surely you can't indent on cast iron? ). But you can clearly see the shape of the ornament. My O/H said…
