Hi
i have a area on a wall that needs to be painted a colour. i want it to be in-between magnolia and white, i thinking of mixing them both.
i have magnolia below the area and white above on the ceiling and coving.
does anyone have a tried and tested ratio i could try ?
im thinking one part white and two parts magnolia or is the other way round better
thank you in advance.

My eyesight is that bad without floodlighting I probably could spot the difference between white, magnolia or a mixture of the two.
Mix yourself some different ratio matchpots and test them on the wall in question, when you find a shade you like - go for it, but please be sure to mix enough paint to cover the whole area in one go - if you need to mix more half way through and dont get the same ratio right, it will look odd.0 -
I don't think somebody else to give you a correct ratio. Colour is such a personal thing you've just got to do what is right for you.
I got paint mixed last week for the outside of the house, it's nothing like it looked on the card, i hate it.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Go to one of those places that mix up paint to order. Get colour charts and choose one of those.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

I have been know to do my own colours. By getting a paint colour I like and then mixing it with white. The only thing you got to watch out is that unless you do exactly ratio you have to make sure you got enough paint for the job and a container to mix it in like a large bucket making sure you got enough for touch ups etc
I always find colours never actually look the same on a paint brochure a sthey do on the wall partly because paint can change colour when dry and also because light in the room can also make paint look different.
I just mix the paint and brush it on, leave to dry for 10-15 minutes if its still dark I put more in0
