Carpet - where to get a good deal?

Hi all,

Just bought our first family home near Portsmouth and need to replace all the carpets upstairs (3 bedrooms). Obviously need to get a good deal on them, any suggestions as to where I could look? Have been told that end of roll carpets can be best but where can I get them? Sorry if this is a silly question - young and inexperienced!

There is a place in Eastleigh called the carpet barn - which do end of rolls but to be honest been there twice now and think there stuff is pretty expensive.

I dont have much time for the bigger chains but was in allied carpets yesterday and there most recent sale does seem to result in some quite cheap carpets (certainly better than a few weeks back and better than carpetright for the equivalent.)

I hate carpet shopping with a passion so 3 in a day was my limit.

Try the 2 carpet shops in Fratton (near the station) they had lots of end of rolls in last week when i went in.
