We did sign up to british gas cover plan thing, but on initial inspection they said it needed a PCB & a power flush. We cancelled this…

Plumber concerns
Hi All, I have some concerns about my plumber who I have asked to replace my 7.2 KW Gainsborough electric shower: He has quoted a cash price of £85 to replace it with an 8.5 KW Mira Vie shower (which I pay for). As I understand it, an 8.5 KW shower would require the fuse and wire to be upgraded (the wire is currently 6mm).…

Water & byelaw 30 kits
In a traditional gravity fed system the feed & expansion header tank overflow is often run to the cold water tank. Is this system still recommended or should the overflow run to somewhere else, probably outside (I notice that byelaw 30 kits don't include a seal for the pipe)?

Warmfront Advice
I was recently accepted for the warmfront grant, but to my surprise they will not be replacing my 30 something year old boiler. I was sure they would as it is very inefficient, Eon just put my DD up to £169 to cover usage. I have been told that as it still heats the property and the water then they will not change it, but…
