Fault,
Ravenheat boiler started to produce hot water, then go cold for 10-20secs then would come back hot, it would probably reach warm then fail to cold again. Over time has gotten worse.
We did sign up to british gas cover plan thing, but on initial inspection they said it needed a PCB & a power flush. We cancelled this and received cash back.
The repair,
So, today we have contacted british gas for there repair of £164, they did not want to know the type of boiler, the fault or any history of it. Instead they have scheduled an engineer to come around tomorrow morning and to have a look.
If were not happy, we can say so and again no charge to us, but if it is a PCB as they said. This was £200 last time, but i guess they wont cover this, and will throw in a power flush thats required too.
Ive done a little googling, and it appears it could be the DHW potentiometer, which ive no idea what it does, costs to replace, or what it looks like.
Lets see if they suprise us tomorrow...:rotfl:
