I have the Panasonic SD253 and chose it 2+ yrs ago as it had many good reviews. I agree with the reviews and rate it highly. Bread is lovely and our fav is the spiced fruit loaf - it has a fruit/nut dispenser for such loafs. We used it all the time to start with but admit its not been used as much recently but plan to get back on track soon now I have a kitchen with more surface space to keep it on. Has a good recipie book too for making all sorts of breads, rolls, croissants etc...

Post this question on the Old Style board bridezilla, there are lots of breadmaker owners on there. Panasonic does seem to be a favourite though. Lucky Wheeze22, mines a Hinari and I wish I could have a Panasonic.0

Personally, I don't use a breadmaker (I'm not keen on the restriction on size/shape
) but Panasonic seem to have great reviews

Another vote here for Panasonic - several years troublefree use. After a few uses it becomes a quick few minutes job to load up and there is a large range of different bread types you can make, plus clear instructions and many recipes.
Amongst our favourites are to add olives, or sun dried tomatoes. You will soon find that you can move beyond the supplied recipes
We abandoned bought bread long ago, especially supermarket (including in-store bakery bread) finding it bulked up with water and lots of additives.
With a bread maker you know what you are putting in.0 -
I have the Morphy Richards fastbake - much cheaper than the Panny (I think mine was only £28 from the MR Special Offers Site). There's also a thread for the MR Fastbake on the OldStyle board. It's good, but the Panasonic does get such great reviews from everyone that I've always wished I could try the bread to see if it really is that different. I'd splash out and go for the Panasonic if I were you, or you'll always end up wondering 'what if....!!'0

Got one last year after reading all the stuff on the OS board. Best purchase ever. Lovely loafs all the time and they take mins to bung in the tin. I've got a brioche on at the mo and it smells lovely.:D0
