Warmfront Advice

I was recently accepted for the warmfront grant, but to my surprise they will not be replacing my 30 something year old boiler. I was sure they would as it is very inefficient, Eon just put my DD up to £169 to cover usage.

I have been told that as it still heats the property and the water then they will not change it, but surely the whole purpose of the grant is to help people to save money and make their home more efficient.

Does anyone have any similar experiences or offer further advice on this matter?

Hi

From reading the info it seems you only get a new boiler if you have no heating. If your heating isnt working they will repair it or replace with a boiler of the same type (ie reconditioned).

Warm Front is a government-funded scheme which provides grants to make your home warmer, healthier and more energy-efficient.

E.ON will still need the Direct Debit to be enough to cover the amount of energy that you use.

However, if you are going to have new insulation and other energy saving help, it may be that your usage will reduce, this then means that your monthly payments can be reduced as well.
