Moving into a Caravan...legal situation?
Hi, In the next few weeks, I will be moving into a static caravan on someone elses land. I will pay rent, which includes water rates and electricity. I have to pay gas myself and no other services are available. (Apart from mobile broadband, which I hope to get a good deal on soon!) We don't want to do this illegally, and…

Objection to planning permission in my own name
My neighbour has applied for planning permission to alter her house. We all had letters a few weeks ago. The plans did not affect or bother me, so I did not write to the council. However, I found out yesterday that someone has made an objection to the planning permission in my name, from my address. I have explained to the…

It is a 2 bedroom house and I currently live with him with my 2 children and so does his dad so we all have to share one bedroom and his dad has the other. We now want to buy our own property but he doesnt want to throw his dad…

Question on shared ownership / Turner report suggested cap / etc
Shared ownership has always puzzled me. I know a few friends that have taken the plunge, and it's good because it means that they're actually buying into equity rather than putting everything into someone else's rent. That said, I don't understand how people can be turned down for a mortgage that would come to say £600,…

When you buy to let
Is it best to have the house in the name of a company, so that any reposession or debt problems don't come back to you and risk your family home? Is it ultimately best to have all your houses owned by a seperate company for each house? So they don't affect each other?

Dear all MSEs.. If this should be posted elsewhere please let me know. House was owned by a lady & her 2 daughters, all named on Land Registry title (I have copy of it). I don't know which forum this would be best suited in but I thought this forum might be the best to ask. Buying at Auction
Whats the crack with finance? When buying in a traditional way, you go to the estate agents, look at houses, approach a mortgage broker, find out what you can borrow, make an offer, see if its accepted etc, I can just about cope with that. But at auction, you're committed to buying the house as soon as the hammer falls.…

We've just had an offer accepted on a house that needs both a bit of building work (just knocking a few walls down) and a complete central heating installation, and would like to get someone in to do these as soon as we complete. My question is, can we get access to the property in the meantime to get a few people in to…

ourproperty.co.uk
Hi, I was doing a tour of new builds in my area today and had some (alot) of spare time so decided that I would go onto ourproperty.co.uk and compare the actual selling prices of the new builds in the past 12 months to what the quoted prices are on the builders websites. Now my question is this: Is ourproperty a reliable…

Just for Fun!
I was recalling with a friend today a viewing of a property a couple of years back where the chap had met us at the house late (we were waiting for him and he obviously didn't mean to be that late - I hope). The house was an absolute tip, there was washing up all over the kitchen, rudey magazines in the living room and to…
