confused at advertised rent being different per week to per month....

I am looking at different flats at the moment and getting a little confused at how rent is advertised. This sounds silly but a flat for rent says 195pw, which is fine, but then 845 a month!
well that just doesnt add up....can someone explain this?

thanks!!

    195 x 52 /12.
:D Make a list of important things to do today. At the top, put 'eat chocolate'. Now, you'll get at least one thing done today. :D
  • 195 * 52 (weeks in a year) / 12 (months in a year) = 845
  • but surely is if it is advertised at 195 a week it should mean that otherwise advertse it at 211 a week...or is that common sense?
    just find it annoying.

thank you for your help. :)

    ***pedantry alert***

They and the previous two replies are wrong. The monthly price is incorrect.* They've missed out day 365. It should be

    ((weekly * 52) + (weekly / 7)) / 12

*even more pedantry - strictly speaking, there is insufficient information to tell whether it is the weekly or monthly rent that is incorrect. It could be the weekly amount that is incorrect. It depends on which was used as the base.

? Sorry, this does not make any sense. The rent is not £211 per week. There are not 28 days in a month.

There are not 4 weeks in a month. I blame the education system.

no, because there are more than 4 weeks in every month (4.33 i think).
    195*52 = 10,140
    845*12 = 10,140
    so 195 p/w or 845 p/m

eta: sorry - cross posting, too slow! :)
  • no need to be rude i am just trying to get advise :)

ok its all making sense now..thanks for the help!
