Renting? Who pays Development Maintenance Charges?
Title says it all. At the moment we live in a development with an annual maintenance charge of about £440/£500 (communal garden, garage insurance, private street lighting etc). If we sell and rent back, do we get the responsibility of that maintenance charge or is it the buyer who pays? QT

Just got a message from our EA saying our AST is finishing soon...ironic as it finished last friday! As we had decided to continue into a roll on basis, we just didnt think about contacting them. Rent Deposit- can they do this?
We are due to leave our rented flat in about 6 weeks time and paid a deposit of £525 when we moved in. The documentation we received from the agency managing our tenancy states that the cost of an independent company checking the flat after we leave will be deducted from our deposit. I didn't think a deposit could be used…

The landlord has previously expressed an interest in renting back to us: the house is a 5 year old, immaculate house and we have obviously kept it that way. So we would be good tenants (would be in…

What houses are actually selling for.
Ok, an idea for a thread: for anything that you have sold or bought, then post the stats. This will give anyone looking to buy/sell an idea of what houses are currently ACTUALLY selling for in various areas of the country NOW (i.e. I know that houseprices.co.uk gives this information for a given area, but there can be…

Renting to DSS - is receiving payment simple or complicated??
Hiya I have a 2 bedroom terraced house, which i've rented out for 3 years. In the past i've self managed the rental, but i've moved an hour away so i've decided to go with a local agency. The house was completely refurbished about 3.5 years ago, and i've never had problems getting tenants. The house has been empty for…

Google Street View
There is a post about it on the Techie forum but it's easy to miss (I don't really check the Techie forum too often...) Google street view is a collection of panoramic photos of streets.
