    You did say though...
  • If i were considering BTL I would want to read all the books I could get my hands on from the local library on the subject. I have learned a bit by reading posts on MSE.
I have come to the conclusion it is no place for amateurs.

alot of books give you similar information but with different strategies. The only book that ive personally read is by an author called Andy Shaw and its called something like "money for nothing and your property for free"

im also in scotland and some techniques are harder to follow (mainly to do with buying below market value) which i think is easier to do in england than scotland because we have a offers over system. but i would suggest this book, you cant go wrong, plus i think you can get a refund on it if your not happy.

sure, who are they? ill have a chat with them.

besides, when i said you cant go wrong, i meant you cant go wrong with reading this book. sure if people dont understand the book and jump in without any research then yeah things can easily go tits up (as it has for me as it happens)...

thanks to all for your replys, will have a look and read as many books as I can. The thing is you can research and all all you can, but it is still a risk, but I don't want never to try anything or else what is the point
