Hysterectomy help needed
I had a hysterectomy ten years ago and for the last two months have been suffering from pain in my right side. I've been for scans on my liver, kidneys, gallbladder and ovaries. All have come back as normal. On Saturday I noticed what I thought was a long hair from my hair coming out of my lady bits. After trying to pull…

Dental Veneers
I am thinking of getting them to give me the smile a Grinch deserves. I have seen UK prices around £525 per veneer and abroad £290. Do those prices sound about right? I need around 12-16 teeth done. I am in London, but I am willing to travel UK wide if needs be based on a good recommendation Has anyone had them done and…

5:2 first timer
Looking to start this diet in the next couple of weeks, but want to familiarise myself with the concept. I have looked on amazon for books to help with this but there are so many. So any advice on which one's to get (from the library first) one would ideally be a recipe book with ideas of what to eat on my fast days. Also,…

Can a 14 year boy have his hair coloured blue
Can a 14 year old boy have his hair coloured blue legally in a salon. My 14 year old son is doing for a cancer charity a series of challenges one of which is having blue hair for the summer term holidays. He has already collected £200 on that basis. A local hairdresser was going to color his hair but says has had to pull…

Anyone used Insight Eating?
My GP has recommended them for help with my binge eating. I just wondered if anyone has used them, and if they were useful? Also if anyone can give me an idea of the fees? I'm assuming it'll be in the thousands? I think I'd be looking at level 3 (the highest level of support), but that's still only a few sessions so might…

Could I have had Aspergers/Autism all this time?
Starting to cope with the realisation I may have had aspergers/autism all my life. I am 37 years old and struggling to cope with the fact about how I could have missed this and been oblivious to this all my life. Researched heavily and fit many of the usual symptoms. Always struggled badly socially and my rigidness with…

I have been registered at the same Doctors practice all of my life and have a preference to see a particular doctor there. Today i received a letter stating: "I have been informed that your home address falls outside of our practice area. Therefore you are required to re-register with a GP surgery closer to your home."…

How to fix damaged hair?
In March, I had my hair bleached and dip dyed. Unfortunately a couple of months later I was signed off work with depression and anxiety and hair care was very low on my list of priorities. It got into a bit of a mess, so at the weekend I brushed through it and cut / undid tangles. However despite regular brushing its…

Eye Test Error?
I have a high prescription so can't often afford to replace my glasses as the lenses are ridiculously expensive if I want them thin and light. I recently had an eye test at Vision Express and went to pick up my new specs yesterday but as soon as I put them on the right field of vision was blurred and distorted, almost a…

Hi all Just popped over from Oldstyle to ask-OH is having this procedure tomorrow. Instructions are just to turn up. He won't let me come with him and intends to go and return by bus. My question is-will he be in a fit state to come home by himself on the bus? Any thoughts welcome if you have experienced this. Thanks Gintot

Maybe they're born with it, maybe it's just an app...
MoneySaving is a serious game. But sometimes we just need to have a bit of fun. Here's what happened when an app that applies make-up to a picture of you made the rounds at MSE Towers... First myself and MSE Anthony tried it. 'Chiselled cheekbones' just made me looks slightly sunburnt but I think 'Smoky Bronze' looks great…

What are your options (self care) for a stye?
OK, I have a stye or two (or so thinks both myself and the pharmacist I've seen. I've seen two). An eyelash is growing through one and my eyelid is slightly swollen, red and it hurts to blink, it even hurts to raise my eyebrows! The recommendation is a hot compress for a week or three before anything more formal (a needle…
