Looking to start this diet in the next couple of weeks, but want to familiarise myself with the concept.
I have looked on amazon for books to help with this but there are so many. So any advice on which one's to get (from the library first) one would ideally be a recipe book with ideas of what to eat on my fast days.
Also, i work shifts are there any shift workers that have done or doing the 5:2 with results?

Great that you want to look into this way of eating first - too many people want to dive in with no real idea of what they're doing. I'm in a FB group called 5:2 Intermittent Fasting Diet - there's plenty of groups around. In ours we have lots of background information and I guess other groups do as well so that could be something to look into.
In terms of books I would recommend the Michael Moseley one to give information about 5:2, the principles, what sort of foods are best to eat etc.
Shift work needn't be a problem - there are people in the FB group I'm in that work shifts and manage fine0 -
thanks for the advise, i will look into those.
i have seen the following 2 books on amazon.
