Bulb behaving fraudulently?
This has always been a decent company in the past. With me at least they have tended to set high estimated figures for the Direct Debits which resulted in my account having many hundreds of pounds of credit. I telephoned them and got the direct debit monthly payment reduced and all worked fairly well. They also refunded…

Which idiot designed the wireless smart meter LCD,not to be able to give you an actual meter reading
My gas meter is in a very hard to reach spot, and surely having a smart meter should have made it easy to get a meter reading (need a reading because of Avro going bust), yet the wireless LCD does not actually give you a reading, it tells you how much you have used but not an actual reading, so it knows the reading just…

Utility Point => EDF - Progress with dates on EDF web-site (new?)
As a former Utility Point customer I've been looking at the EDF web-site every few days, and until today it has just had the same FAQ for UP customer's that appeared fairly early on. But today I saw this: https://www.edfenergy.com/content/welcoming-utility-point-customers (click on the small "Read more" text to see all of…

My 'Avro rates' from Octopus appear to be above the price cap!
We have been switched from Avro to Octopus, and now have Octopus's new 'Flexible Avro' rates. By my calculation the average user on these rates would be paying £1,348 (VAT included) which is above the price cap of £1,277. Ofgem's website shows that the £1,277 should cover the supplier's wholesale, network and other costs,…

Trying to make sense of the different screens on my IHD (In House Display). I totted up each of the hourly usages on the 'Today' screen which came to 1646 Watt hours (1.646 kWh). But the 'Daily' screen shows the running total at 4.421 kWh. I accept there will be rounding errors and some delay between reading and display…

How long for final bill when switching suppliers?
I switched suppliers 1st October so ended up paying both suppliers a direct debit this month. I gave a meter reading to both on the day of switch but my old suppliers say they can’t use that and need to wait for my new suppliers to send them the reading. Does anyone know how long this takes (EDF to octopus if that matters)…

Dispute With Octopus Energy
