Boiler cover- Automatic renewal
Options
Hello
Im with Scottish Power who emailed me to auto renew 2m ago. Unfortunately i missed the email and now ive been rolled over onto a contract which is x3 more expensive.
Before i call them i wanted to ask:
1. Has anyone had experience of cancelling? Will they insist on full 12m contract or allow me to leave early? Will i have to pay a cancellation fee?
2. We are due to move house anyway next month, will it be easier to just transfer the contract onto new house?
Regards

Is this one of those tariffs where you get boiler cover lobbed in as part of the deal?1) Depends on the T&Cs.2) Well your energy deal will end anyway so its probably safe to assume the boiler cover will too.0

Just had the same issue with British Gas Homecare 3 it auto renews tomorrow. Luckily I remembered and managed to cancel it tonight but she explained to me anyway that with auto renews there is a 14 day cooling down period and as long as you don't use their service you can cancel with no fee's.
She did point out my direct debit was due to remove £27+ on the 15th so told me to cancel my direct debit straight away to stop them taking it but that I'd be refunded anyway if they did.
Should imagine it'd be simular if it's automatic online renewal.0
