EON day/night.

A friend of mine who is with EON has gas heating & water and the rest electric.  There is no E7 or E10 'but' the bills and smart meter have a day and a night rate.  I have looked at all over various EON web sites but can find no information if this is normal.  The fixed deal has just ended and is now on a variable and that is the same.  Is this normal for EON tariffs ?

Both readings on smart meter advance and according to the last statement they were at different rates.

Sorry, I got it wrong.  Smart meter does not distingish.  They are going to email me a statement to comfirm the different rates of day and night.  I will confirm once I get it.

What do you mean by there is no E7 or E10? If the meter has 2 rates then it's likely it's either E7 or E10. Do you mean their tariff only has one unit price?

Hi Both.

Just been reading the last statement they emaied me. And, they have been confused I think by seeing day and night meter readings on the statement. I have looked at it with care and althought the meter show 322 Kw/h day and 44Kw/h night, they are added together and are actually charged at the same rate.  I have just called them to explain this.
