With the demise of Ebico as part of the above, is anyone aware of a company whichhas a No Standing Charge tariff for gas please? Household electricity usage assessment
We have huge electricity bills. It appears from the metre that we are using approx 50 kWhs per day. It is a big house with a childcare business, but it still doesn't seem possible. Heating and hot water use alternative energy sources, not electricity. No tumble drier or hair driers are used. Four computers, two fridges and…

Eon unable to bill me as I have a profile class OO meter
I switched to Eon from OVO on 13 September 2019, on a fixed tariff paying by direct debit. Since then Eon has not raised a bill. I chased them in March 2020, to be told my account was stuck in the set-up phase and that a technical fix was required that they were working on, but the coronavirus epidemic was going to delay…

Green Homes Grant website
Has anyone used the Green Homes Grant Government (https://www.simpleenergyadvice.org.uk/) website to successfully find an installer for quotes? I'm not sure it's working right, as when you put in your postcode it just has an alphabetical list, rather than listing by nearest. It does have the map, but none in East Anglia…

Energy choice again
I moved over to British Gas for dual fuel but that deal is coming to an end. I know I could switch company again but I don't want the hassle, (OVO owed me a refund for nearly a year). I see on MSE Energy Club that British Gas is offering "HomeEnergy Secure Jan 2022". First question, please: Do I still have to initiate a…

Energy supplier accusing customers of bullying!!!
I recently switched to Symbio as they are marketed as being the cheapest. Their customer support is very poor. It is virtually impossible to contact them, the phones are not answered and they take weeks to get back to telephone and email messages (over 4 weeks this time). During the wait I decided to look at their reviews…

Checking electricity meter time
We've recently moved into a house which is on Economy 7 as no gas in the village. I think the electricity meter is set to the wrong time, the off peak is clear, 12:30 am to 7:30 am, but the 'pointer' which I assume is the current time appears to be hours out. The attached photo was taken at 21:05, but appears to show…

Waiting for new Elec meter - so cannot switch supplier?
I noticed the meter wasn't going round back in January and immediately notified supplier. It took a couple of weeks for them to be convinced that the meter was broken, then in march was asked when I wanted it changed (with at least 4 weeks notice!). Of course, Covid then struck, and I was called in May to say that they…
