Smart radiator valves (Trv) question

Hi

i have a nest at home and I’m not very happy with it as temperature within rooms changes a lot. I would like to control the temperature of each radiator independently

do you know if there are trv compatible with nest? If not, which system would you recommend? Tado? Hive? Netatmo?

thanks

  • The Energenie Mi|Home Smart Radiator Valve appears to be compatible with NEST.

I don't have either so I can't vouch for it.

TRVs are intended to control the temperature of the room, not the radiator. The radiator still runs at full system temp when the TRV turns it on, unless the flow's been restricted or the system isn't balanced correctly.

Yeah, sorry for not being clear enough. What I mean is to control each room temp independently and open/close valves depending on the temperature. With nest you just switch on/off the thermostat and can’t control each radiator independently
