Tonik Energy issues

Ongoing issues with Tonik regarding billing and none reply to emails, I not had an electricity bill since changing to Tonik Energy in April of this year. I had two emails this week and they now state that there is an ongoing issue with SMETS 2 meters has anybody else come across this issue or is this a lie from Tonik Energy

Good Morning Mr Rogers,
Thank you for getting in touch.
I am emailing from the Metering team regarding the issues you have had regarding your Electricity meter as this has been raised to us to look into.
Unfortunately, the reason why you have experienced issues with your billing is due to the fact that we do not have your meter technical details. This is a system-wide issue and is happening with all "SMETS 2" meters. These are second generation Smart meters and unfortunately there is nothing that we can do to fix this at present.
I have noted your account down and please be re-assured that this issue is being looked into to get resolved, but for now we have not yet found a fix for this.
I appreciate the inconvenience caused by this and deeply apologise for the issues that have arose as a result. In the meantime, if you have any questions or wish to discuss anything further - please feel free to contact our Member Services Team via email or on 0333 344 2686.

    Well, whatever their issue is, it doesn't seem to be stopping other suppliers from obtaining data from new and existing SMETS2 meters...
    It is entirely possible that Tonik have an issue within their own systems that obtain data from the DCC, either directly or via one of the other service providers, as that could be described as 'system-wide', but would hardly qualify for 'nothing we can do to fix'...
  • I think KeefBest Wishes is probably cribbing from a script when he/she refers to issues with SMETS2 meters!!
    Tonik seem to have had technical issues since December 2019!
    Your suggestion that this may be a lie would certainly hold some credibility both on threads contained within this forum and other social media websites.
