With the demise of Ebico as part of the above, is anyone aware of a company which
has a No Standing Charge tariff for gas please?
I am already aware of Utilita, who say that they do, though you have to be willing to
take duel fuel with them.
Green Star's telephone operator stated that they do but I have not been able to
confirm this.
Shell Energy ( who I understand now own Green Star ) do not seem to be able to
make their minds up either way.
If anyone knows of other companies who do have such a tariff, I would be thankful
to hear of it.
Thank you, Pete

Do a comparison and put in your gas usage as 0kWh
You'll unlikely to get any £0 apart from Utilita, so the cheapest will have the lowest standing charge.

Ebico no longer offered one anyway. It was just an S/C disguised under the term 'minimum annual charge'.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Yes we just had a letter saying that as Robin Hood are selling out to British Gas all Ebico customers are being ransfered to British Gas. We have had a no standing charge account for years so also wondering what to do.0

Just done a price comparison and it tried to tell me that British Gas is cheapest for me! Joke! The rates are much the same but 50p a day!!!! standing charge so that's going to be £180 more jst for the standing charge!! Help

electric pay about £20 a month. That's not the way to think about it.- Your DD may or may not be putting enough into the pot to cover your usage, so you could get a big shock when your DD suddenly goes up twice, once to reflect what you have actually been using, and then again to claw back the arrears. Always think in annual kWh from actual meter readings.
- You can't compare suppliers easily. £20 in groceries from Aldi won't buy you the same if you get it delivered from Fortnum & Mason or Harrods.

Many thanks for the replies so far, all very interesting.
May I now please, respectfully, draw attention back to the original question as follows,
If anyone knows of other companies who do have such a tariff, I would be thankfulto hear of it.
Thank you Pete.0
