Eon smart meters.
I have just had a guy come around to install a smart meter from eon but he was unable to do so as apparently my meter contained asbestos? Seems unlikely to me as the meter installation sticker is from 1995. He said he would have to report this to the gas board? What could I expect to happen as a result of this?

Random gas use spikes?
My new smart meter seems to react instantly, ie, toaster went on and the electric usage on the meter went up. But the gas is still confusing me: for example, it says there was a big use of gas between midnight and 1am last night but the heating was off and nobody was up to use any hot water or the stove. There would have…

I kept trying to chase this up but never got any…

Didn't use a comparison site, can I claim back money lost?
I signed up to British Gas last year for my gas and electricity. I contacted them directly, mainly because I had been hassled around a lot by a previous supplier and wanted a reputable company (and I was already a previous British Gas homecare customer), but this was my big mistake. After my quarterly statement came in…
