Economy Energy Complaint via Resolver

Options
So, after an exchange of messages via resolver as the administrators claim I have an outstanding balance, it reached the stage I could escalate to the ombudsman. (I don't believe there is any balance outstanding as I had completed a switch away JUST before they went under and every time they messaged with an outstanding balance  if was a different amount)!
However, the letter I received from the ombudsman says EE no longer exists so they cannot help?
So, where do I go from here if I start getting debt collector letters?
Many thanks in advance for any pointers!

I'd be inclined to send a recorded delivery letter with all the factual details to show I'd paid in full, saying 'See You In Court !'.  For good measure I'd invoice them, say £50, for all my valuable time, expenses and aggro, and take them to the small claims court if the didn't pay within 30 days.  Chances are they won't turn up so you'll win by default.
Usual disclaimers, IANAL, At Your Own Risk etc, but it seems worthwhile calling their bluff.  They probably rely on most people not knowing how to challenge them or being too scared.
