Economy 7 to Standard meter
Hi, sorry if it's been covered previously. I'm asking on behalf of someone else. If someone has an Economy 7 meter and wants to change to a standard meter, does there need to be any wiring work before an appointment is made with the energy supplier to remove the Economy 7 meter and replace it with a standard meter.

Together Energy on Rip Off Britain....
which is a consumer programme for people lazing around at 9.30 in the morning (like me). Customer owed £600 and can't get it back. Ombudsman found in her favour but TE just ignored it. Conclusion: ombudsman useless and TE incompetent or devious. My one energy tip is to give this company a wide berth.

OVO Chasing Year Old Bill
I was with OVO Energy from June 2017 to May 2018. When I left them, my last bill had an outstanding balance of £295.35. I paid £235.35 by card, and then they took £60 over the next two direct debits, so £355.35 total credit. This leaves me in credit in total at £60. I left this though as I knew I would eventually have the…

Advice on Energy Comparison Websites
I regularly switch and use a number of different comparison websites however they all appear to have the same flaws. Firstly they compare against your existing tariff which is due to expire therefore any savings are unrealistic as this does not take account of savings by switching to the same suppliers new fixed tariff. (I…

I see Bulb Energy have finally posted their accounts, only 3 weeks late (again!) Last year, you may recall wavelets posted that Bulb Energy posted a loss of £23million for the year ended 31 March 2018. Well the bean counters at Bulb Energy seem to have had another play on their abacus, and decided that figure should really…

Transferring or refunding Credit from previous supplier
Should a credit balance be transferred or refunded automatically when changing suppliers by law? I'm in the process of switching to a new supplier Avro. To my horror I've just discovered they've been holding onto a balance from when I transferred away from them several years ago. They tell me any balance is held by default…

Energy switch completed but reported as failed - no cashback
I switched to EDF over 3 months ago via the CheapEnergyClub tool here at MSE. Recently I got an email from the Energy Club to say my switch had failed, so no cashback. I contacted EDF and they are adamant that they have not told the Energy Club that the switch has failed. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

How long do refunds take for switchers?
My switch (Tonik>E.on)completed 24 days ago and I had £57 credit with Tonik. I asked Tonik when I'd be refunded and they said when they received confirmed final readings from E.on. (this was a mystery to me anyway, I have a smart meter so surely they know what my readings were at any time) . Contacted E.on who said they…
