Hi,
I'm with EDF and on fixed tariff till sept 2020. I've been emailed by MSE energy club about a cheaper tariff. Its another fixed tariff with EDF.
Question is can I switch without exit fee's because I'm not actually switching supplier. I'm sure I a post on MSE stating you can, but cant find it now.
Thanks for any help.....

You need to ask EDF.
I recently asked Zog if they would charge the exit fee to transfer me to another of their tariffs and they confirmed they would. So I'm off, because if there's a fee to be paid then I'd rather end up with the cheapest supplier after paying it.0 -

Thanks for any help.....Will I need to pay an exit fee if I cancel my tariff and move to another EDF Energy tariff?
You need to pay your tariff's exit fee if you cancel your tariff with more than three months to go on your contract - even if you're cancelling it to move onto another EDF Energy tariff.
You don't have to pay the exit fee if your tariff is due to end within the next three months, or if you cancel within the 14-day cooling off period when you first sign up.
Not all tariffs have an exit fee. Dual fuel tariffs have one exit fee for electricity and one for gas.0 -
Many thanks.0
