Is it better value for money to heat a cold house with the radiator water temp near max for a short period (set on combi boiler) or have it midway Temperature for longer period? Thanks

The most efficient way to heat a house would be to inject a very large amount of heat a very short time before the desired temperature is reached, i.e. so that a step change (square wave) is achieved.

It's rather like filling a leaky bath to the brim, you could use a dribbling tap for a few hours or a fireman's hose for a few seconds. Obviously by the time the bath was full you'd have wasted far more water with the dribbling tap.

Depends on your radiators - Most radiators are rated at an operating temperature of 75°C and give a lower heat output at lower temperatures. So unless you have radiators designed for a low temperature heating system, run hot (my opinion).

Its cheaper to put a thermal vest on provided you already own one.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
