Toto to EDF - Final bill issues
Morning you lovely lot. I'm one of the many who have been moved to EDF from toto last year. Anyone else having issues getting a final toto bill/credit? I've contacted EDF a few times, and each time I'm told something different: there is no outstanding balance on my toto account, that I'm getting a refund, and that my final…

Boiler function question
My boiler (Worchester Bosch) fires up when the thermastat calls for heat and runs for around 45mins or so with a plume coming out of a flue and the green ignition light lit. Then the plum stops and the green light goes out (this happens before the thermastat is turned off or temp reached) but you can still here the pump…

Hello. I wonder if anyone here has any knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes when you switch electricity. I was previously with Octopus and everything was fine until my fixed contract came to an end. I moved to Symbio energy. I was with them 3 months. Despite me putting in meter readings each month each bill showed a…

I live in a flat where a neighbour has had a Smart meter fitted to the external side of my lounge wall. The meter bridges the cavity in the wall and the meter sits approximately 5 feet from where I sit in my…

Cannot afford massive bills
OK, I will be as brief as possible. A few years ago I 'switched' to NPower using USwitch. They said payments would be £74 a month, however, after one month they upped this to £120. Around this time I noticed my use was escalating and despite various checks both official and personal no one could tell me why. My quarterly…

Worried about boiler
Hi guys Apologies if this is in the wrong place on the forums (or not the kind of Q you can ask here - I had a look around online and couldn't find a consumer forum about boilers). I'm worried about the boiler in my rent house. The front panel is held on with gaffer tape. When winter rolled around I opened the cupboard and…

Electricity outage - Utility Point not open until Monday - What to do?!
Long story short, when we switched from EDF to Utility Point the meter wasn’t switched over to credit mode, so when the money ran out it went off (last night). We called Utility Point at 6:15 last night and were told that they’d send someone out within three hours. This person never turned up and we’ve now been without…

Hello, We bought our house about 5 yrs ago and had brand new combi boiler and radiators fitted at the time. The house was built around 2000 and is fairly insulated but the ex owners extended the kitchen by 1.20m x 2.30m. The old kitchen space is 4.50m x 3.10m. When we moved in, we had brand new kitchen cabinets and…

Cheap Energy Group and EDF
Hi all, For the first time ever I considered swapping supplier having been with EDF for years, however the Cheap Energy Group suggested that EDF had one of the best online tariffs available and would save me around £39 a month so I went with that. I applied for the tariff and EDF moved me on it a month before my old one…

Dangers of switching gas off, then on again
I noticed that on another forum someone said the following in one of their posts: "I think I might have had one about the gas being turned off for mains repairs which was very important from a safety point of view (ensure all appliances turned off so they won't produce a gas hazard when the supply comes back)." This was in…
