Toto to EDF - Final bill issues
Options
Morning you lovely lot.
I'm one of the many who have been moved to EDF from toto last year.
Anyone else having issues getting a final toto bill/credit? I've contacted EDF a few times, and each time I'm told something different: there is no outstanding balance on my toto account, that I'm getting a refund, and that my final bill is being worked out.
My direct debit also stopped being taken, EDF can't see my old payments or why it stopped... Ugggh.
Anyone else in the same boat?
Thanks... Lea

I think you'll find the average time is around 3 months from the company going bust to the new company refunding any credit.
Toto went under on 23/Oct so the end of January, but of course Christmas in the mix as well.
I find it extraordinary that such a simple task, done every day in a million companies takes so long.
I understand there are obviously complications with some accounts, but for many it is a straightforward refund of monies owed.
The name of the game of course for many small companies is to muddy the waters, and hold on to the money as long as poss in the hope of the customer giving up.
Most companies, in any industry, would go bust working in such a slow, inefficient manner but we're talking power companies here where it appears absolutely anything goes with impunity.0 -

Morning SleepyLea.
I'm in the exact same situation.
But rather than wasting my time attempting to call EDF several times to receive potentially differing responses on each occassion, I simply took a look at the EDF website, where an accurate update on the latest situation is provided for all to read.

Toto made a right pig's ear of the one bill they sent me which I disputed. They claimed to have sorted out the tariff, but then went bust the next day. Also waiting for a "final" bill from when Toto took over Solarplicity accounts... It will probably be a right dogs dinner if/when a final bill arrives, but I'm not going to chase anyone for it. The data EDF have inherited is probably full of holes and inaccurate readings.
From EDF...Update 20 December 2019
Working with the former TOTO Energy business, we’ve started the process of sending final bills to customers covering their time with TOTO. The majority of bills will be sent in January, so if you haven’t received yours yet, don’t worry, it’ll reach you early next year.
We've given you a very competitive tariff for the next six months and guarantee you won’t pay more for your energy in this period than you would have with TOTO.Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
Yay... Got the "final bill" from EDF for the energy usage whilst Toto were in charge of the lunatic asylum. Not quite the pig's ear I was expecting, but they are still trying to charge me for Cubic Feet on gas usage. My meter reads in Cubic Metres, a point that Toto eventually acknowledged.. Obviously failed to pass the message on to EDF. HoHum.Her courage will change the world.

Yes, I've had several issues. ToTo have my payments on account and are trying everything not to pass my credit to EDF.
