Economy Energy - OVO Energy
Hi Today I have received an email from Economy energy (their administrator) that I owe them £280. There is no bill and all previous bills and payment information is removed from MyAccount. The amount they have requested is much more than my monthly spend before and after Economy energy has closed down business. I am also…

Should I ditch my fix?
I'm currently 1/3 through an 18 month fix with GNE The energy saving club says I can save £165 by switching to a variable tariff. OK £50 of that will go to pay the GNE exit penalty but that still leaves me £115 better off. My thinking is that if the OFGEM cap calculation is showing the cap will fall on 1st Oct then this…

OVO 2 year fix ending soon
My 2 year fix with OVO has been very good, the energy club has not been able to beat it. ovo have given me an option for a new fix, a 12 month £15 per month more than now or a 2 year at £22 per month more. The 12 month is cheaper than the other big suppliers (just) have not seen another quote for a 2 year fix to compare.…

Do I fix now?
Hi all My NPower fix is coming to an end at the end of September and I am now free to move elsewhere without incurring a penalty. British Gas appear to be offering the cheapest fix out of the big 6 so my question I suppose is do I move now or do I hang on a little longer in case some fixed deals become cheaper? British…

Hello everyone, We've just moved in to our new house today. (And renting it from the 31st of July) Our energy (gas + electricity) is supplied by Sparks Energy. Unfortunately, both meters are prepayment meters. I've called Sparks energy with an intention to change the prepayment meters to monthly credit meters, but I was…

Gas meter
I have a gas supply, with meter. However for reasons I wont bore you with I don't use any gas. But I keep getting stung with the Standing Charge for the meter. ( approx £30 pcm). I don't want to remove the meter, as I am told it costs approx. £80 just to have it removed. Also should my circumstances change to have it…

bulb energy not replying to my emails
I joined bulb energy in May after seeing it on MSE. They have set the opening read for my gas as 1042 but my previous supplier, Co-op energy, has the closing read as 1090 which I have paid. I have sent 3 emails to bulb to try to get this rectified (first one was on 17/7) but they are not responding. Ofgem won't do anything…

I am trying to switch my energy supplier from Foxglove Energy to EON, but when I click on the Moneysaving Expert link I am only invited to sign up with them which I do not want to do. Is there another way to contact EON and still get the offer?

Getting caught out with smart meter T&Cs
Looks like i've been had, by myself i suppose. Anyone else fallen foul of this? My deal was up with Tonik so i searched for the cheapest tariff. I whittled out those who threw up a red flag as far as you may not want to go with these kind of thing (all the more cautious after my mother's incident with eCONomy Energy) and…

EDF Exit Fees Help required
Dear MSErs. Hope you can advise. I have been an EDF customer for more than 8 years - I have no desire to change supplier. During that time, I have switched tariffs to avoid going onto SV tariff and paying through the nose. I have often changed tariff (where allowed as an existing customer) through third parties such as MSE…

Eon Default?
I had an account with Eon for roughly 3 weeks in September 2017. I had moved into a shared house during my 3rd year at university and we had decided to use GLIDE to split our energy bills. Whilst this was being setup, we used Eon until the switch was made. We had one electricity bill, which was for £15.86, and was paid on…

Economy energy undercharged - final bill
I have been with Economy Energy from September 2017- October 2018 and have been billed this June as the company has ceased trading and they were reviewing their accounts I guess? I only checked now in August because I received an explicit email stating I owed them £547.95 for gas. Most of the readings throughout the year…
