Do I fix now?
Hi all
My NPower fix is coming to an end at the end of September and I am now free to move elsewhere without incurring a penalty.
British Gas appear to be offering the cheapest fix out of the big 6 so my question I suppose is do I move now or do I hang on a little longer in case some fixed deals become cheaper?
British Gas' tariff is slightly cheaper than my current fix.
Thanks

If I could answer that, I would be a millionaire and not have to worry about energy prices.
Prices do seem to be dropping at the moment and the actual cost of price has dropped dramatically. Markets do not like uncertainty, and the closer we get to a certain day (at the end of October), the more uncertain it will be.0 -
If it were me I wouild fix for 1 year.
You don't want to be on a standard deal when turning the heating on (sept? / oct) .
And sometimes switches can get delayed!
monitor deals over the 14 days following the switch request.
you can always change your mind in that 14 days if there is a big saving to be had0 -

Try fixing with separate suppliers on an exit fee free one year fixes..eg Symbio Energy for electric and Zog Energy for gas. These two offered the best overall annual costs for me , with the ability to jump ship in the future if prices lowered in the next year.0
