Is my Economy 7 Faulty ?
Got two switches, one for the hot water and one for economy 7. If i turn the economy 7 on in the evening, the amber light on the switch itself seems to take a few hours to turn on. Is this because E7 can only be used during the night time and early morning, or do i have a faulty switch ? Thanks

I can't understand how we are using £45 per week electric. We've not had to turn the heating on at all, we turn / unplug most appliances off at the socket when not in use, we don't…

Switching to Bulb
Hi, I am switching to Bulb and applied through Cheap Energy Club. Two queries: 1) I know I will ''get £25 cashback 3 months after switching''. I cannot find if and how to claim it and if there is anything else I can claim. 2) On the website https://www.higgypop.com/offers/50-off-your-energy-bill/ I found that Bulb offers…

Switch now or wait til July?
Hi, what's people's advice here? I keep hearing contradictory things. Some say energy prices will decrease as we get nearer the summer whilst I've heard from BBC and Guardian that prices will rise. I'm with Avro but there are cheaper options presently available. Should I grab the best offer now or wait a bit? (Avro don't…

Annual Statements (Co-op Energy) giving wrong info
I hope this is appropriate and in the right place. I just wanted to share an experience from earlier today. Our gas & electric are supplied by Co-op Energy. Following an increase in our direct debit I phoned them to query it. I had based my calculations on the 'Annual Statement' figures from February 2019, which indicated…

AVRO Energy - refusing switch
Hello I signed up for AVRO a year ago and was paying £96 by DD. End of the year I decided to switch to get a better deal. AVRO declined the switch. They say I owe the £326 on my bill. This is the first I was aware of this. Basically we had used more energy in the last few months than the £96 covered. I fully intend to pay…

Beware of Out of date Tariff Prices on CEC Comparison.
I check my Comparison regularly, and the CEC is still using old cheaper Tariff Prices from months earlier and way out of date on the Tariff I am on .. Economy 7 Energy. This makes any comparison made inaccurate, so be aware. I am suspicious that others may be behind also in updating the Tariff prices, has anyone else…

Closing balance bill
Hi, I have a closing balance bill of £315 from Solarplicity. I have a smart meter (I don't actually have the little screen gadget plugged in but I'm guessing the actual meter sends the readings to the company, or do I have to have the screen plugged in at all times?) My bills each month nearly always say I'm in credit and…

Help Please - Massive Elec Bill!
I'd like to start off with an apology - I know very little when it comes to utilities so any help or advice would be hugely appreciated. We moved into our new house at the end of last year. The house is electricity only (electric boiler) and has normal looking radiators (not the white metre/storage heaters). The previous…

Historical Overcharging for Gas Supply
Switched to Avro three years ago and up until now very satisfied. In the process of switching to a lower tariff (I am consistently in credit) I received an email to say i must clear the £720 deficit on my account before I can switch tariffs! The company had suddenly realised they had been charging me in metric units and…

Cancelling SSE home services
We renewed the central heating cover with SSE on 4/4, it was expensive because our boiler was ancient. Since then, we came into some money and had our boiler renewed. It all happened very quickly, if I'd known the new boiler was imminent I wouldn't have renewed SSE heating cover. Anyway, I called to cancel the cover and…
