I check my Comparison regularly, and the CEC is still using old cheaper Tariff Prices from months earlier and way out of date on the Tariff I am on .. Economy 7 Energy.
This makes any comparison made inaccurate, so be aware.
I am suspicious that others may be behind also in updating the Tariff prices, has anyone else checked other Companies ?

Thanks for the warning. But it sounds like you are on a variable tariff
I've checked the tariff details of our suppliers on the CEC against the trariffs specified on our latest statements and they are correct, but we are on fixed tariffs so they have not changed since we signed up.
As I understand it, MSE gets it's tariff data from MSM who are one of the Ofgem accredited energy comparison sites.
Comparison sites, it seems, rely upon suppliers notifying them of any tariff changes.
So you may want to get onto your supplier to inform MSM if the data is out of date by months.0 -
Yes I am on variable, I have no choice on E10 Tariffs, and the have gone up three times in 12 months, still good value but they are still behind on CEC, I hope the ones it compares with are correct or it makes the comparison useless.
I have searched for a contact email for CEC to tell them, but it's not easy to find if it's on there ... So I hope the read this forum.0 -

The CEC does not even list E10 tariffs :cool:0 -
Yes .. it looks like you are correct, CEC do not cater for E10, but Economy7Energy was shown as best for me, and they accepted me.
I still get comparisons but they assume E7 meter, you have to phone them to check if they accept E10.
E7E tariffs are still not up to date.
Thanks for the link ... Still not easy to find an email address for CEC.
I think to be sure best to use Tariff prices CEC display to do your own calculations to be accurate, checking first that they are up to date ..0 -

If, as you now accept, the CEC does not cater for E10 tariffs, how can any supplier be shown as best for you? :huh:0
